Airline ESA Letter Policy – Air Canada (2025 Guide)

Air Canada has stopped recognizing Emotional Support Animals under its service animal guidelines. ESAs are now treated as pets.

Air Canada Animal Policy:

• Cats and dogs allowed in the cabin (max 10kg with carrier)
• ESA letters are not accepted
• International rules may vary

Final Thoughts: ESA letters have no special travel privilege on Air Canada. View their full policy here: https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/special-assistance/pets.html
